Last Friday (27th of September), researchers and general public across Europe came together to celebrate the European Researchers’ Night, an event that aims to bring science closer to everyday citizens. And StAnD could not be absent from this amazing initiative!
In Oeiras, Portugal, NUCLIO presented StAnD to hundreds of teachers, students and science enthusiasts. Visitors had the opportunity to learn more about asteroids, meteors, meteorites and planetary defence, had a demonstration of how to examine micrometeorites and even got the chance to handle real iron and stony meteorites.

In Greece, Ellinogermaniki Agogi held a two-day event drawing 600 visitors! The school’s observatory was open to the public, and a planetarium was installed to share the wonder of the night sky.
