Did you know that the Erasmus+ project StAnD now has its own Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) for teachers? It’s called the StAnD Academy and it provides essential professional development and support to educators participating in StAnD.
You can now access a number of short, informative modules on StAnD topics taken from the Teacher’s Manual, such as the solar system, planetary defence, and asteroids. The topics are presented clearly, with a fun quiz at the end, and you can take each module at your own speed. You can even re-take the quizzes as many times as you need to.
What’s more, when you complete each module successfully, you will be awarded an EU-recognised Open Digital Badge! This can be used on your CV, and in your email signature, for example.
These modules are completely free, just open an account on StAnD Academy page to get started with the first module on the solar system. Have fun while learning, and feel free to share this information with your other teaching colleagues!
