StAnD and the toolkits went to the venerable Muséum Nationale d’Histoire Naturelle in Paris, France, on 12 June, as part of the FRIPON/Vigie-Ciel Colloquium (11-12 June 2025) which attracted over 100 people, all concerned with astronomy or geology. This historic location, in one of the mineralogy rooms, was the perfect setting for presenting the stars of our project: meteors and micrometeorites.

Leigh Fergus from COSPAR led two workshops to present the project, its resources and its implementation in France, in parallel with presentations on the Vigie-Ciel toolkits, among others.

The StAnD toolkits stirred up a lot of interest.

StAnD at the Muséum Nationale d’Histoire Naturelle in Paris
A very attentive group learned about the accessibility of the activities.

Participants were invited to examine the micrometeorite kit, for example, they discovered what is involved in the asteroid campaigns, and explored the StAnD website. There was a lively exchange with all those who took part and they asked many questions about the project in general. We hope to have recruited some new members of the StAnD community!  A très bientôt!
