Ellinogermaniki Agogi school (EA), with its long tradition in Astronomy Education, operates as a living astronomy laboratory, hosting a fully equipped school-based observatory supporting education, outreach and scientific research.

Within the EU project StAnD, the school has installed a meteor detection camera, enabling students to analyse real meteor and fireball events, calculate trajectories and velocities, and engage with professional-grade scientific software through curriculum-adapted learning scenarios.

On 13 December 2025 at 22:26:40, during the Geminid Meteor Shower, the EA meteor camera recorded its first fireball, marking another milestone in our ongoing effort to bring authentic, data-driven astronomy into everyday school life.
