Huge congratulations to the schools that are taking part in the latest StAnD Asteroid Search Campaign (14 November to 10 December): they have made a total of  7 preliminary asteroid discoveries so far! 

This is an outstanding accomplishment for the Collège Marcel Massot in France, the IIS Niccolò Machiavelli in Italy, and the Escola  Secundária de Moimenta da Beira in Portugal–the result of your hard work, dedication, and passion for exploring the cosmos!

Once you get a taste of success in this activity, it’s hard to stop the students studying these fascinating celestial visitors! If your school hasn’t tried a StAnD Asteroid Search Campaign, in partnership with the International Asteroid Search Collaboration, now is the time to sign up for the next one, running from 12 January to 6 February
