The first STAND Community Day in Greece was a great success. More than 150 students and teachers from Thebes had the opportunity to learn about asteroids, meteors, and meteorites.

StAnD hosted its Community Days in Foligo, on 17-18 April, as part of the XV Festa di Scienza e Filosofia, engaging the public in the fascinating science of meteors and meteorites.

Teacher Géraldine Jeanson and her primary school students conducted a search for micrometeorites using the StAnD micrometeorite kit.

Thanks to the PRISMA All-Sky Camera Analysis Laboratory (PASCAL), the data from StAnD and PRISMA networks can be exploited by any school wishing to participate!

The deadline for this competition is 29 May 2026–you still have time to encourage your students to enter the StAnD Image Competition!

For each module successfully completed at StAnD Academy, you will be awarded an EU-recognised open digital badge!

On 24 and 31 January, 2026, NUCLIO organized two StAnD multiplier events, as part of the teacher training workshop “From Earth to Space”.

A new astronomy club has been launched in the Collège Victor Hugo in Harnes, in the north of France. This club is different–it’s a girls-only club!

In case you missed this, StAnD has opened an image competition for students using robotic telescopes (and there’s also a category for images from StAnD meteor detection cameras, if the students have access to one)!
