Münsterschwarzach in cooperation with the monastery observatory of the Abbey of Münsterschwarzach captured this image of the Perseids meteor shower on the night of August 10th to 11th.

This year the StAnD Summer School in Marathon, Greece, welcomed a lively group of 14 teachers from five countries. Maths, physics and chemistry teachers worked alongside music and IT teachers during the week: remember that StAnD welcomes teachers of all subjects who are passionate about the night sky!

Not many classrooms are pointing virtual telescopes at galaxies yet, but that’s exactly why it’s so exciting! If you’re hesitating about taking this next step, don’t worry!

StAnD and the toolkits went to the venerable Muséum Nationale d’Histoire Naturelle in Paris, France.

On 11th, 12th and 13th April, the PRISMA network and StAnD project participated in the XIV Festa di Scienza e Filosofia, in Foligno, Italy.

The next StAnD asteroid campaign (and the last for this school year) starts 23 April and runs until 19 May, in collaboration with IASC. If you haven’t tried this challenge, it’s not too late to sign up!

Representatives from all StAnD project partners (INAF, NUCLIO, EA, FTP-Europlanet and COSPAR) met for the third transnational project meeting in Sète, France, hosted by COSPAR.
